Kewarra Beach Resort is set to undergo an incredible transformation that will see the resort become one of the best in Far North Queensland providing a new life for the resort. Located just 20 minutes from Cairns, this luxurious destination is closing its doors on May 14th 2023 to begin an extensive 10 million dollar renovation.
The upgrade to Kewarra Beach Resort will include substantial improvements to existing room facilities, as well as the introduction of a new food & beverage concept. Managed by 1834 Hotels, the repositioning of Kewarra Beach Resort looks to attract both new and existing markets to Cairns – allowing them to experience premium luxury accommodation right on their doorstep.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer such an amazing transformation at Kewarra Beach Resort,” said Andrew Bullock, CEO of 1834 Hotels. “This renovation will be a game-changer for Far North Queensland and we can’t wait to welcome guests back once it’s finished.”
Kewarra Beach Resort’s makeover is set to include upgraded guest rooms with modern amenities and furnishings; a upgraded pool area with cabanas and sun lounges; a new restaurant concept offering local produce and fresh seafood; and enhanced outdoor spaces for hosting events and weddings. The resort will also boast a range of recreational activities including a day spa plus access to walking and bike trails, yoga classes and more.
The extensive renovation project is expected to take 18 months, with completion scheduled for late 2024. During this time, Kewarra Beach Resort will remain closed while construction takes place – ensuring that upon reopening, guests can enjoy all the new features in a deluxe environment.
